El programa Conversaciones acerca de L.I.F.E. es una forma ideal de apoyar a las familias para hablar de relaciones amorosas y sanas (Amor, Enamoramiento, Amistad), así como de relaciones que podrían ser abusivas (Explotación).
El programa les brinda a los padres y a los tutores las herramientas necesarias para ayudar a sus hijos, desde kínder al 12º grado, a comprender y a navegar el mundo de las relaciones que está en constante cambio. Asimismo, empodera a las familias para hablar de las relaciones, el sexo y el abuso sexual en un programa educativo evolutivo que es fácil de implementar y que además aborda asuntos críticos de la vida de una forma apropiada según la edad de los hijos. Ahora está disponible en inglés y español.
Conversaciones acerca de L.I.F.E. tiene el objetivo de ayudar a los padres en la responsabilidad más importante de su vida – amar a sus hijos y enseñarlos a amar.

The program gives parents and guardians the tools they need to help their children—from pre-school through high school—to understand and navigate the ever-changing world of relationships. It empowers families to talk about relationships, sex, and sexual abuse in an easy-to-implement, ongoing educational program that addresses critical life issues in age-appropriate ways. It is now available in both English and Spanish.
Conversations about L.I.F.E. aims to assist parents in the most important responsibility of their lives – loving their children and teaching them to love.
El programa Conversaciones acerca de L.I.F.E. fue traducido del inglés al español por Maira Lizbeth Dávalos Tinajero y Sandra Cruz. La traducción fue preparada especialmente para niños y adolescentes latinos cuyas familias inmigraron a los Estados Unidos y que asisten a escuelas públicas o privadas y a programas de catequesis donde todas las clases se presentan en inglés.

The translation was specifically prepared for Latinx children whose families have immigrated to the United States and who are attending public or private schools and catechetical programs where all of their classes are presented in English.

Maira Dávalos es originaria de Zapotlanejo, Jalisco, México, donde actualmente vive. Ella estudió negocios en ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara y tiene una maestría en Lengua Extranjera y Literatura con énfasis en Traducción de la Universidad de Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Antes de regresar a México en el 2013, Maira vivió 8 años estudiando, siendo voluntaria y trabajando como traductora, intérprete, y profesora de español en varias instituciones educativas, médicas y religiosas de Wisconsin. En este momento trabaja como traductora y profesora de inglés y español independiente.

Maira earned a Masters of Arts in Foreign Language and Literature with an emphasis in Translation from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Before returning to Mexico in 2013, she spent eight years studying, volunteering, and working as a translator, interpreter, and Spanish teacher in various educational, medical, and religious institutions in Wisconsin. Sandra Cruz
Sandra Cruz, la editora de la traducción al español, vive con su esposo Nino Cruz en Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Su familia emigró a los Estados Unidos de Guadalajara, México en 1976. Sandra creció hablando y escribiendo inglés como segundo idioma. Ahora, ella usa sus habilidades lingüísticas en inglés y español como asistente de maestra en el sistema de escuelas públicas de su ciudad y como catequista y líder latina en su parroquia católica.
View English TranslationSandra Cruz, the editor of the Spanish translation, lives with her husband Nino Cruz in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Her family migrated to the United States from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1976. Sandra grew up speaking and writing English as a second language. She now uses her linguistic skills in English and Spanish as a professional teacher-aid in the local public school system and as a catechist and Latina leader in her Catholic parish.
